Setting a benchmark for future projects

TFP’s collaboration with Darktrace began with the company’s relocation to London’s prestigious 80 Strand. As the appointed furniture consultant, we were tasked with developing a specification that not only reflected Darktrace’s identity but also established a benchmark for future international projects. By tapping into our global manufacturer network, we streamlined the furniture selection process by opting for common suppliers for key items, including workstations. This approach not only saved Darktrace time and resources but also ensured optimal value across several projects.

Seamless transition to a new US flagship

For their flagship project in New York, Darktrace moved to a new office space at One Manhattan West. Designed by Corgan, this new office offered a diverse range of work settings, from informal café and lounge areas to workstations, boardrooms, client-facing meeting rooms and private phone booths. Throughout the selection process, we paid meticulous attention to the specific requirements of each space, particularly considering the confidential nature of Darktrace’s work and the need for a high level of privacy.

Working closely with the project team, we developed furniture solutions designed to enhance collaboration, privacy and productivity, aligning with Darktrace’s operational needs. We also maintained a familiar look and feel to Darktrace’s London office while incorporating elements reflecting the local New York flavour in the furniture.

Maximising the investment

One Manhattan West, with its breathtaking 360-degree views of Manhattan, provided the backdrop for the new flagship. We incorporated furniture settings that not only complemented the scenic views but also showcased the beauty and prestige of the location. The result was a visually stunning environment that resonated with Darktrace’s vision and maximised their investment in the space.

The exceptional outcome of Darktrace’s flagship design has translated into significantly higher occupancy levels compared to New York averages, serving as a testament to the effectiveness of the design solutions in supporting the business’s growth and creating an engaging and high-performing work environment.

Overcoming challenges through meticulous planning

The newly constructed flagship building presented challenges, as multiple companies were relocating simultaneously. This situation led to restricted access to the premises, necessitating meticulous planning and coordination by TFP. Our dedicated project management and logistics team booked access well in advance, ensuring smooth furniture delivery and installation despite logistical constraints
