World Mental Health Day 2023

October 10, 2023

At TFP, we understand that mental health plays a vital role in overall wellbeing, and we are committed to fostering a supportive environment for mental health all year-round. On this World Mental Health Day, we're sharing three initiatives we've undertaken to help promote awareness and positive action.

TFP Manchester

Creating a Safe Space for Conversations

Conversation is key to breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health. We're committed to cultivating an environment where employees feel empowered to voice their thoughts, ideas and concerns, knowing they'll be genuinely heard. This includes conversations with managers, our HR team or colleagues. Our dedicated team of mental health first responders is trained to understand the challenges individuals might face at work, offering a compassionate and guiding hand towards the necessary support if required.

Promoting Wellbeing and Mental Health

We firmly believe in the importance of mental health, just as we do for physical health. Our workplace is designed to support both aspects. Our wellbeing strategy includes everything from an ergonomically designed workplace and the right support for hybrid working, to comprehensive access to healthcare, regular social events, fitness clubs and mental health-promoting apps. Additionally, we prioritise positive working relationships and equip our people with tools and training that can help promote mental health wellbeing, including formal training on workload management, active listening and valuable tips for navigating challenging situations.

Ready Access to Essential Resources and Support

We recognise that sometimes, professional help is essential on the journey to mental wellbeing. To ensure our team has access to the necessary support, we've established clear pathways for them. Our team of qualified mental health responders is equipped to provide compassionate support and guidance. They are dedicated to understanding the unique challenges individuals may face at work and are readily available to ensure the necessary resources and assistance are easily accessible.
