Highlights from Milan Design Week 2025

From 8–13 April, Milan Design Week brought the city to life with new ideas, bold collaborations and standout launches. Across the Salone del Mobile at Fiera Milano Rho and a dynamic network of off-site exhibitions, more than 2,000 exhibitors from over 50 countries revealed fresh perspectives on furniture, lighting and material innovation. O Series by atelier oï x A-POC Able Issey Miyake

The O Series, a portable lighting collection by atelier oï and A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE, pairs an elegant oval wire frame with a pleated recycled polyester shade shaped using the innovative "steam stretch" technique. Inspired by the delicate beauty of flowers, the design allows for flexible arrangement and softly diffuses light, bringing a poetic warmth to any space.
Valencia Stool & Brezal Collection by Andreu World


Designed by Patricia Urquiola for Andreu World, the Valencia Stool blends innovation with material intelligence. Made from a 3D-printed mix of 35% cork and 65% PLA bioplastic, its organic, textured surface draws inspiration from the landscapes reshaped by the DANA floods.
The new Brezal collection by Patricia Urquiola for Andreu World brings Mediterranean serenity to outdoor spaces with its modular sofas and occasional tables. Crafted with aluminium frames and woven polypropylene rope in seven colours, the pieces offer durability and comfort. Designed for adaptability, Brezal seamlessly integrates into various outdoor settings, offering a refined and cohesive aesthetic.
Cosimo de’ Medici by Tectona, Filicudi by Pedrali


Cosimo de’ Medici is a sculptural outdoor collection by Muller Van Severen for Tectona, designed in 2025 for the lemon garden of Villa Medici. Made from curved metal slats that echo the garden’s triangular forms, the pieces blend seamlessly with the villa’s historic architecture. A palette of green, blue, and white reinforces the collection’s harmony with its setting—where design meets function in tribute to Cosimo I, the Grand Duke of Tuscany.
Filicudi by Pedrali is a versatile rechargeable lamp that doubles as a decorative piece. Made from aluminium and polycarbonate, it features dimmable LED lighting and a magnetic multi-charging system that charges up to ten lamps at once. The removable diffuser transforms the column into a flower vase, offering both function and style for indoor and outdoor use.
Motta by Magis, Striche by Miniforms


Motta is a refined, versatile chair by Jasper Morrison for Magis, debuted at Salone del Mobile 2025. Its slender steel frame pairs with interchangeable seats and backs in plastic, wood, or upholstery. Designed for both home and contract use, it’s non-stackable to preserve its clean, vertical elegance.
Striche by Miniforms is a bold, candy-like table that turns molten Murano glass into pure design delight. Crafted through four separate pours—for shape, colour, pattern, and texture—it captures a vibrant, gummy finish that feels both playful and refined. Its name, Venetian for “making a splash,” reflects its standout presence in any space.
Butter Sofa by Faye Toogood x Tacchini

The Butter Sofa by Faye Toogood for Tacchini, launched at Milan Design Week 2025, is a sculptural, modular seating system with soft, butter-like upholstery. Inspired by the tactile pleasure of bread and butter, its oversized, reconfigurable blocks offer both comfort and playful versatility. Designed to be both beautiful and functional, Butter Sofa invites personal curation and brings tactile joy to everyday living.
Simoon Collection by Glas Italia, Stedelijk Chair by BD Barcelona


The Simoon Collection by Patricia Urquiola for Glas Italia features minimalist designs that emphasise the beauty of glass. The collection includes low, high, and console tables, along with a writing desk, all made from recycled UV-bonded 12mm extralight glass slabs, blending innovative materiality with elegant form.
The new Stedelijk Chair by Sabine Marcelis for BD Barcelona, combines sculpture and functionality. Made from 100% aluminium, its seamless design flows from legs to backrest, echoing the museum’s exterior. Lightweight, stackable, and visually striking, it exemplifies Marcelis' blend of timeless design and materiality.
Arche Dining Chair by SEM Milano, Big Squeeze by Ready To Hang


The Arche Dining Chair, designed by Studio Paolo Ferrari for SEM, reinterprets the classic dining chair with a key focus on rituality and craftsmanship. Showcased at Convey, it features a solid wood structure and artisanal finish, blending elegance, craftsmanship, and timeless design.
Ready To Hang, New York-based design studio known for sculptural mirrors, debuted their collection at Milan Design Week 2025. A highlight – the Big Squeeze Mirror, a striking piece with a pinched shape and vibrant coloured orbs that bring a bold, contemporary twist to the vintage salon setting.
Diffrient Lounge Chair by Humanscale

Colin Armchair by Dooq, Bau by Lammhults


The Colin Armchair by Dooq draws inspiration from 1970s organic modernism, offering a blend of comfort and elegance. Its sculptural design features rounded solid wood legs paired with plush upholstery, creating a harmonious balance of form and function.
Launched in 2023, the modular seating colletion Bau by Lammhults, offers flexible configurations to create dynamic arrangement. Bau's laid-back, softer aesthetic contrasts with its bold geometric lines, and a new 30mm base enhances its floating look while simplifying cleaning. Perfect for both workplaces and public spaces, Bau invites endless configurations for modern interiors.
You and Me Monochrome Ping Pong Table by RS Barcelona

The You and Me Monochrome Ping Pong Table by RS Barcelona blends minimalist design with everyday functionality. Its sleek steel frame and micro-textured finish offer durability and style, while the matching net and post set make it perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. Equal parts bold and refined, it brings playful elegance to any setting.
Great Sofa by Hem, Perron Bun Lounge Chair by Knoll


Philippe Malouin’s Great Sofa for Hem combines modern design with ultimate comfort. Its innovative ‘hoodie feature’ keeps the modular pieces secure, while the balanced upholstery offers both softness and support. Launched at Milan Design Week 2025, this timeless piece is set to become a modern classic.
The Perron Bun Lounge Chair & Ottoman, designed by Willo Perron for Knoll, blends the comfort of a lounge chair, sofa, and bed. With a thick cushion on a slim, sculptural metal frame, it creates a floating effect with its discreet stilt legs. Clay Armchair by Moroso

The Clay Armchair by Zanellato/Bortotto for Moroso, launched at Milan Design Week 2025, blends contemporary design with artisanal craftsmanship.
