TOP PICKS FOR LDF 2026

Each September, London becomes a working showcase for the industry we're part of. LDF26 runs from 12-20 September, its 24th edition, and once again the city's showrooms, design studios and streets turn over to new launches, live installations and open doors. We've picked out the highlights from across this year’s lineup - from Knightsbridge to Shoreditch, King's Cross to Clerkenwell - that are worth building into your route this year.

Cafe at the Vitra Tramshed by Vitra

Vitra welcomes visitors to its newly reconfigured Tramshed showroom for coffee, sweet treats and a look at its latest launches. Highlights include Bascule, a new lounge chair developed with Berlin-based Studio Œ, alongside a collaborative collection from Artek and Tokyo leather brand Hender Scheme.

Design at Work by Task Systems

Task Systems joins Shoreditch Design Week at Design at Work, presenting the latest products from its Task, Marelli and ICF portfolios at stand DW24. Alongside the exhibition, Marelli will take over the stage at Shoreditch Town Hall with a dedicated showcase of its latest designs. The wider programme also includes Neuroplaces’ Neuroinclusive Design conference, bringing together voices from design, architecture, workplace strategy and accessibility to explore more inclusive and supportive spaces.

The Product Design 100 by Allermuir x Design Burger

New Collection 2026 by Molteni&C

Molteni&C unveils its New Collection 2026 at its London flagship, marking the UK debut of the Julian sofa and Physis kitchen by Vincent Van Duysen and the Corsetto armchair by Cristián Mohaded. The launch also introduces Molteni&C’s first bathroom collection, alongside selected pieces from its 2026 Indoor Collection.

Live Mural & Studio Sessions by The Collective X DEKA Design 

The Collective and DEKA Design throw open their Shoreditch showroom for the week, with a live mural painted across its walls by Jeru Nomi of WOM Collective. Alongside the open doors, the studio hosts hands-on lino-printing sessions using Re.Chip Lab materials, and closes out the festival's opening day with Sunset Sessions No.27 - drinks, music and an open door with Franks & Fizz.

Quiet Volumes by Relay Design Projects

Relay presents Quiet Volumes, an exhibition and reading room bringing together new furniture and lighting from Max Lamb, Note Design Studio and Formstelle. Each piece celebrates raw materiality and rigorous sculptural form, set within a minimalist space that doubles as somewhere to sit, browse and reconnect with physical objects away from the festival crowds.

Have You Seen the Light? By Tom Dixon

Tom Dixon takes over every arch of his King's Cross flagship for Have You Seen The Light?, presenting the full Autumn/Winter 2026 collection in London for the first time, alongside an early preview of Spring/Summer 2027. Highlights include the FLARE, MELT Nickel and WHIRL Copper lighting series, and new pieces from the Tom Dixon x Vispring collaboration.

Meet the Designer: Benjamin Hubert by Andreu World

Andreu World hosts designer Benjamin Hubert at its Clerkenwell showroom as part of the official LDF26 programme, in conversation about his practice and latest collections. A chance to hear directly from one of the industry's most in-demand designers.

The Cassina Perspective by Cassina

Cassina returns to London Design Festival with a showcase of new arrivals at its Brompton Road store, including the modular Ardys sofa by Patricia Urquiola, Gaetano Pesce's Dalila chair, Verner Panton's Peacock chair and new finishes for Gianfranco Frattini's 780/783 low tables.

AFTER SCHOOL by Gallery FUMI X Royal College of Art

Gallery FUMI joins forces with the Royal College of Art for AFTER SCHOOL, an exhibition showcasing work by recent graduates and alumni across textiles, ceramics and design. Bringing together a new generation of makers, the show explores different approaches to process, material and the role objects can play, giving emerging practitioners a platform as they move from education into the wider design landscape.

Awakenings by V&A x LSF

The V&A's festival programme this year turns to artificial intelligence, with a series of installations across the museum exploring how design, craft and technology intersect. It runs well beyond the festival itself, so there's no excuse to miss it.

Material Matters

The cornerstone materials fair of LDF returns to Shoreditch, bringing together more than 50 exhibitors showcasing natural, reclaimed and bio-based materials - from Biomason's bacteria-grown Mimmik Tile to Carbon Cell's biomaterial foam alternatives and The Or Foundation's acoustic products made from post-consumer clothing waste.

Configurations at Floor Story by Sancal

Configurations is a showroom installation at Floor Story's Shoreditch space, in partnership with Sancal and curated by Trifle*. Five new rug collaborations — from Coco Lom, Les Keepers, Lakwena, POoR Collective, and House of Quinn — are shown across a series of intimate, lived-in roomsets, where cutting-edge rug design meets the playful furniture of Sancal. Visitors are also invited to design their own rug via paper collage, with a chance selected designs go into production.

Modular Design at Marylebone by USM

USM's Marylebone showroom is well worth a visit during LDF26, with the Haller system on show across the full range of configurations and finishes. No formal event is scheduled, but the team welcomes visitors throughout the festival.
