Since our beginnings, that mindset has shaped how we work and how we strive to continually add value, from establishing an independent, design-led consultancy model to growing internationally and shaping new approaches to sustainability. Future Works, our innovation venture, builds on that foundation as a platform for collaboration and industry progress.
Our journey
1997
FOUNDED IN LONDON
Founded in London as an independent furniture specialist, partnering with the architecture and design community to give clients greater choice, objectivity and delivery confidence.
2000
CONSULTANCY APPROACH
Established an alternative to traditional furniture procurement, guiding clients from strategy to delivery through independent advice and long-term value.
2014
PLANET MARK CERTIFIED
Became Planet Mark certified, committing to measure and reduce our carbon footprint each year to drive continuous improvement.
2017
MANCHESTER OFFICE OPENS
Expanded into the North with a new Manchester office, strengthening relationships and delivering major projects across the UK’s regional markets.
2018
LIVING DEPARTMENT FORMED
Expanded TFP's expertise across the Living and hospitality sectors, supporting clients from concept to completion and beyond.
2020
NEW YORK OFFICE OPENS
Opened our New York office to support international clients and deliver projects across North America with clarity and independence.
2021
Sustainability Department Formed
Established a dedicated sustainability department to drive ESG initiatives and strengthen sustainability outcomes on projects.
2023
B CORP CERTIFIED
Achieved B Corp certification with a score of 86.8, recognising our commitment to people, planet and responsible business practices.
2024
SHIFT BY FUTURE WORKS
The inaugural supplier community day from Future Works, our innovation venture driving collaboration and progress across the furniture industry.
2025
Bangalore office opens
