The Furniture Practice was appointed to specify elegant, tactile furniture that would complement the welcoming, professional atmosphere of the overall space. In creating Hogarth Davies Lloyd’s new offices, Spacelab prioritised the development of more client-facing areas where the company could meet candidates in comfort and host guests for events. As such, the new office is designed as a hub, featuring meeting spaces, quiet rooms, and a breakout lounge.

To ensure these spaces were fully optimised, project manager Pulsar appointed us to specify high-quality products that would establish an inviting, relaxed ambience. Installing sit-stand desks, meeting tables and chairs, and storage, we prioritised pieces with high design values created with everyday use in mind, emphasising the new office as a workplace that puts its staff and visitors first.

Spacelab’s design features warm, custom joinery throughout, combining oak wood with earthy plaster, folded metal sheeting, recycled leather ribs, and pleated acoustic felt. This focus on materials is complemented by oak veneer tables and credenzas, which we matched to the joinery for a consistent aesthetic—a result of our close collaboration with Spacelab. Minimalist Scandinavian furniture designs are used throughout the office to create a warm, calm atmosphere, accented by bold touches such as geometric Audo plinths made from natural stone.
