Located in the heart of St John’s, Union is the first co-living development from Vita Group. The scheme combines private studios with a diverse mix of amenity spaces that elevate daily life for young professionals.
We worked alongside Vita’s in-house designers to deliver furniture and styling that brought the design vision to life while aligning with operational goals.
The concept for Union was shaped by detailed research into how young professionals want to live in Manchester. The brief was to create spaces that reflect the rhythm of city life, supporting both connection and independence. The development includes a reception, TV lounge, library, work lounge, private dining rooms and live music bars, each tailored to suit different moments in the day.
The furniture scheme brings together design classics and contemporary pieces in a palette of warm timbers, mixed metals and tactile fabrics. Vita’s brand is expressed subtly through considered material choices and layered detailing, creating a strong sense of cohesion and identity throughout.
We were appointed to source and manage all furniture across the shared living spaces, collaborating with brands including GUBI, &Tradition, Muuto, HAY and Andreu World to bring the design vision to life. Bespoke elements such as integrated library lighting, tailored banquette seating and custom work booths were developed to enhance comfort and functionality across the spaces. A variety of seating and work settings ensures flexibility and inclusivity throughout.
Styling was delivered by our in-house team, adding depth and character to each space while ensuring a seamless connection between the design vision and the furniture.
The completed scheme supports every aspect of modern city life, from quiet working to social connection. Grounded yet aspirational, Union redefines the potential of co-living in the UK and sets a new benchmark for design-led rental experiences.
