Developed by Way of Life and designed by Fettle, The Gessner brings the atmosphere of an exclusive members’ club to a private rented setting in the heart of Tottenham Hale. Working closely with the client and design team, we developed a high-quality, cost-effective furniture specification that delivers a refined, vintage-inspired aesthetic unique to the development.
A large proportion of the scheme relied on our bespoke design service. To support the design intent, we produced concept designs, technical drawings, prototypes and mock-ups, giving the team full clarity over form, finish and function before manufacture. We also liaised directly with factories to maintain the strong aesthetic vision while meeting the project’s budget requirements.

Maximising space and achieving a tailored, coherent look were essential to the brief. Through detailed space planning and careful management of all furniture layouts, we helped ensure that every area performed well for residents while contributing to the desired overall character of the building.
Delivery of the project coincided with the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, which introduced significant challenges across manufacturing, logistics and on-site access. In response, we adapted our processes, shifting workshops and client meetings online and working closely with our logistics team to meet evolving site regulations.
Throughout the programme, we maintained consistent communication with manufacturers to anticipate delays, resolve issues early and keep the project on track. Despite the complexities, the furniture package was delivered within the agreed timeframe, supporting a successful handover for the client.
