The Almere is a collection of 294 rental apartments with green roof terraces and around 10,000 sq. ft of resident amenity space. Invesco appointed us to manage all furniture requirements for both the apartments and amenities to help realise The Almere’s vision of creating an inviting and family-friendly new community in the heart of Milton Keynes.
Although centrally located and just a stone's throw from vibrant local bars, restaurants and other activity hubs, The Almere benefits from beautiful rooftop views of the surrounding countryside. Taking inspiration from nature and changes in colour and texture throughout the seasons, we worked with the design team at EPR to create four colour palettes for residents to choose from. With multiple layout variations, including 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments, our in-house design team worked carefully to create cohesion between the furniture and colour palettes across the entire scheme.
To meet The Almere's sustainability ambitions, we sourced the majority of furniture from the UK/EU and selected products that utilise recycled materials and are recyclable.
The Almere's amenity spaces include residents' lounges, a co-working space with private pods, a private dining area for hosting friends and outdoor terraces with stunning rooftop views. Flexibility and creating a homely, inviting atmosphere were crucial aspects of the design for the amenities. As well as ensuring the furniture was fit for purpose and moveable to suit varying needs, we helped add unique and playful details such as retro games machines and bespoke artwork that help residents feel at home.
Presenting a unique offering and choice for residents was essential to The Almere's conception. Our dedicated project management team skillfully managed the delivery and installation of all furniture to site, working with multiple apartment types and floorplan variations to meet our client's needs on time and within budget.
