Myo appointed DMFK to retrofit 3 New Street Square, softening the 2008 building with a calm, natural aesthetic. Travertine echoes the stone façade, while mid-toned oak and planting bring warmth across the building’s six storeys. We were appointed to specify crafted, timeless furniture and finishes from brands such as Fredericia, Audo, Andreu World and &Tradition to complement the refined design vision.
DMFK’s concept responds directly to the building’s robust post-tension concrete frame and geometric exterior, creating a high-calibre backdrop for more organic, contemporary workspaces. Working closely with the design team, we developed a palette that prioritised natural materials and soft, earth-toned colours, pairing green and warm timber with accents of sandstone and stainless steel. Although located moments from Chancery Lane and Farringdon, the interiors establish a sense of calm that feels distinct from the energy of the surrounding streets.
Nature and wellbeing are central to Myo’s design principles, and New Street Square takes this commitment further by achieving WELL Platinum certification. To support this ambition, we collaborated with the design team and our suppliers to ensure that a significant proportion of specified products had low or zero VOC emissions and Cradle to Cradle certification, ensuring materials are safe, healthy and responsibly sourced. Every furniture piece was selected for durability and craftsmanship, reinforcing Myo’s ethos of long-lasting quality and sustainable design.
Flexibility is a core component of the scheme. Each floor offers communal breakout areas, amenity spaces and rentable offices, so we specified versatile furniture that can be quickly reconfigured to support different workstyles and activities. DMFK also added a rooftop pavilion with a wrap-around terrace offering views of St Paul’s, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. As a space designed for relaxation, community and client hosting, we provided adaptable outdoor furniture that can be easily re-arranged to suit a wide range of uses.
