Darktrace, a leading global cybersecurity company, appointed us as their furniture consultant for a series of projects across the UK and North America. For their flagship New York office at One Manhattan West, the focus was on creating a flexible, design-led workspace that reflected Darktrace’s identity and global standards while responding to the specific functional and privacy requirements of the new location.

Our collaboration with Darktrace began with their relocation to London’s 80 Strand, where we developed a furniture specification that reflected their identity and set a benchmark for future international offices. Leveraging our global manufacturer network, we streamlined the selection process by using common suppliers for key items, including workstations. This approach saved time and resources while ensuring consistent quality and value across multiple Darktrace projects.

At One Manhattan West, the New York workspace designed by Corgan offers a wide mix of settings, from café and lounge areas to workstations, boardrooms, client meeting rooms and private phone booths. We tailored the furniture specification to the distinct needs of each space, with particular focus on the confidentiality requirements of Darktrace’s work and the need for enhanced privacy.

Working closely with the project team, we developed solutions that balanced collaboration, focus and productivity, maintaining continuity with the London office while introducing design elements that reflect the character of New York.

With a backdrop of panoramic views across Manhattan, we introduced furniture settings that complemented the vistas and enhanced the prestige of the location, creating a visually compelling environment that aligned with Darktrace’s ambitions and maximised their investment.

The newly constructed flagship building brought logistical challenges, with multiple companies moving in at the same time and access to the premises tightly restricted. Our project management and logistics team planned meticulously, securing access well in advance to ensure smooth furniture delivery and installation despite the constraints.

The success of the flagship is evident in occupancy levels far above New York averages, demonstrating how the workspace supports Darktrace’s growth while providing an engaging, high-performing environment for their teams.
