2017 London Design Awards – Silver Winner, Interior Design – Corporate & Commercial

Designed by Gensler, Adobe’s award-winning home at the White Collar Factory in East London’s tech hub is purpose-built for creative collaboration. Spanning three floors, the workspace combines fixed and agile hot-desking with generous social settings, supporting 375 sales and marketing employees in working fluidly throughout the day.

As the appointed furniture consultant, we worked closely with the design team to develop a furniture strategy that reflects Adobe’s creative identity and enhances the flexibility of the space.

The design celebrates the industrial character of the White Collar Factory, expressed through exposed soffits, mesh ceilings, concrete surfaces and metal factory doors. Warm timber flooring balances the raw architectural shell, while a saturated colour palette, inspired by Adobe’s Creative Suite tools, introduces vibrancy throughout. A bold red perforated metal stair cuts through two floors, acting as a striking focal point and a physical connector between teams.

Furniture choices amplify the energy and playfulness of the interiors. Working closely with Gensler, we curated settings that bring comfort, flexibility and personality to the open-plan environment. Bright modular sofas and soft lounge chairs in expressive colours create relaxed collaboration zones, while upholstered benches help anchor key social spaces. Bespoke hand-crafted rugs introduce warmth and tactility, defining neighbourhoods within the open plan. Lockers integrated into tailored joinery runs support agile working and maintain a clean, ordered aesthetic.

Meeting rooms and enclosed spaces express Adobe’s identity with equal clarity, featuring coloured acoustic panels, distinctive lighting, and furniture that balances function with creative appeal. High-back lounge pieces soften corners, while touchdown settings and bar-height tables offer alternative work points framed by the building’s industrial details.

Drawing on our global supplier network, we sourced pieces that met Adobe’s design vision and performance needs while delivering strong value. The final scheme reflects Adobe’s creative culture: bold, expressive and distinctly human, with furniture that enhances collaboration and invites employees to make the space their own.
