The bright future of wellbeing in architecture and interior design

For Clerkenwell Design Week 2023, BAUX reveals an exhibition dedicated to the future of Architecture, Interior Design, and Wellbeing, in an installation featuring an exterior designed by Morag Myerscough. Myerscough has expressed her unique and celebrated style and creativity, in an exterior feature wall to the BAUX Acoustic Lounge, which will sit in the central location of St John's Square.

Yinka

A Magical World by Yinka Illori

Not to be missed, Yinka Illori has teamed up with leading UK tile company, Domus to create his debut tile collections launching during CDW. Inspiring playfulness and featuring his trademark mood-boosting colour palette, the two new ranges, Screen and Glaze, will be shown in an installation aptly named "A Magical World" at the Domus Clerkenwell showroom. Illori will also take part in a design discussion at the showroom on 23 May at 1pm, see details below to register.

ARPER

The sustainable product journey in practice

Join Arper and OnOffice together with Phil Towle, The Furniture Practice’s Head of Sustainability and Supply Chain, and Woodalls’ Head of Sustainability for a panel discussion exploring the environmental impact of furniture across all life cycle stages.

The Conran Shop by CE International

The Conran Shop by CE International

Launching at Clerkenwell Design Week 2023, British furniture merchant CE International will oversee the distribution of The Conran Shop’s exclusive in-house designs to the UK commercial market. The offering will include seating, table, cabinetry, lighting, and outdoor furniture designs that make up The Conran Shop’s considered contemporary edit.

Headline installations for CDW Presents programme

British environmental artist, Steve Messam is headlining this years' CDW Presents programme with specially commissioned installations around Clerkenwell. The first, Gateway is a large-scale inflatable installation situated beneath the historic St John’s Gate, the temporary piece is part of an ongoing series of artworks around historic architectural sites.

In addition, visitors of CDW have the opportunity to experience Messam's artistic treatment of London's iconic telephone boxes, located on Cowcross Street and Clerkenwell Road outside of St James' Church.

On Tuesday 23 May, head to the Kvadrat showroom to find some preloved gems and leave with a new wardrobe. Transactions will be 1 garment for 1 garment, and any leftover pieces will be sent to Kvadrat Really to be made into tabletops. Drop off your clothes in a clean and presentable format prior to 23 May.

PLP archtiecture

SYMBIOCENE LIVING: mycelium building block

Also as part of CDW Presents, PLP Architecture will debut an interpretive mycelium installation that encourages the public to envision and engage with fungi architecture. The installation is made of mycelium blocks with a 3D printed timber shell, which is modular and able to be reconfigured.

Presented by Andreu World and Women in Office Design (WOD), the panel discussion will bring together thought leaders and experts from the workplace design industry sharing their insights into designing workplaces for inclusively and diversity.
