International workspace provider, HB Reavis, partnered with architecture and design studio, Evolution Design, to create an inspiring central London workspace, which focuses on employee wellbeing and productivity while also incorporating biophilic design principles throughout.
One of the few buildings in London targeting a WELLGold Certification, the use of materials, finishes and furnishings has been guided by WELL Building Institute (IWBI) Standards. The Furniture Practice worked closely with the design team to help develop the furniture specification, ensuring that each product would align with WELL Building Standard requirements.
An additional key consideration was to promote internal communication and cross-departmental collaboration, in contrast to HB Reavis’ former location which lacked a diversity of work environments and failed to encourage mobility of staff. To achieve this goal, the new scheme houses a range of different work settings and products to encourage movement, including height-adjustable desks, collaborative working areas, private focus space, phone booths and a range of formal and informal meeting space.
