Meet the team: Jo Halyburton, Performance Manager

Meet Jo.
A born and bred Londoner, Jo studied 3D design at Leeds University and has worked in the contract furniture industry for over 15 years. Jo started her career in a small contract furniture team, before moving to TFP in 2007, where she progressed from sales support to a Team Manager.
In this newly created position at TFP, Jo will be working closely with our growing account management team, overseeing our in-house training programme and managing the development of new additions to the team. Jo is a fantastic mentor and leader and we’re very excited to welcome her back to team TFP.
Over to Jo…
What might we not know about you?
I was an extra in three scenes of the Da Vinci Code film, starring Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou.
How did you end up working in the furniture industry?
After leaving uni, I did some time travelling and then came across a small contract furniture team in London and never left the industry after that! I’ve always had a love for furniture and design, and the industry just felt like a natural fit for me.
What do you like about working at TFP?
As Performance Manager, I get to work with people across the whole business which I really enjoy. I also really like the balance between professionalism, fun and wellbeing at TFP.
Are there any standout projects you’ve worked on?
Hmm, that’s a difficult one. I really enjoyed working with KKS and RFU on the East Stand Development at Twickenham Stadium. It was great to be involved with such a large-scale hospitality project, and to have the opportunity to work with a variety of design concepts and budgets across the scheme.

Do you have a favourite supplier or product?
I’d say &tradition at the moment, as I’m buying a Little Petra armchair for home – plus their products are great for both hospitality and commercial projects.
Anywhere you’d recommend for a holiday?
I went to Costa Rica a couple of years ago which I really loved. It’s really beautiful, chilled out and has amazing beaches. It’s also leading the way in terms of sustainable tourism, which is always great to see.

What are you most likely to be doing outside of work?
Meeting with friends, mostly. I’ve always been into sport and exercise too – running, gym and snowboarding, when I have the opportunity…
Lastly, how do you always look so chic?
Errr, I’m not sure that’s true. [it is]. I do love fashion, particularly French brands like Sezane, Maje, Zadig & Voltaire.
