As one of the largest chemical producers and supplier of raw materials globally, BASF relocated their UK Head Quarters to Stockport Exchange, an award-winning business district in central Stockport. Spanning 21,500 sq ft at 2 Stockport Exchange, the move is part of their Future of Work project – aimed at enhancing the workplace experience of BASF employees.
5plus Architects were selected to support the relocation that will house over 200 people, working alongside BASF workplace consultants to establish the brief for a number of settings – including a library, board and meeting rooms, terrace and games area – all supporting both individual working and team collaboration and interaction.
Supporting 5plus Architects and the client, TFP worked to curate a bespoke furniture schedule to meet the client’s needs; ensuring a smooth and efficient process by developing strong communication channels and relationships with the team. Providing consultancy, procurement, mock ups and project management and installation services, TFP ensured the project was delivered on time and within budget, despite it being in the midst of the first national COVID-19 lockdown.
BASF’s new office is true to their vision of an open and collaborative workspace, enabling new and more agile ways of working.
