Pennethorne’s Café

Architect: SHH Architecture & Interior Design
Completion: 2010
Main Suppliers: Ercol, Tom Dixon, Gubi, Another Country

Pennethorne’s is a café situated in the West Wing of the iconic Somerset House, London. The overall design, by SHH Architects, is rich, dark and daringly moody. The space references early-nineteenth century tastes, but with a modern twist. Surrounding the bar are a number of high tables and stools, including the Gubi Beetle Stool and the One Bar Stool by Another Country. The lighting includes a number of Tom Dixon products grouped together for added drama.
